Placer Golden Retrievers
There's nothing cuter than a golden retriever puppy! It's hard to argue with that! However, though all golden retriever puppies are cute, not all are the same. Whether you are looking for an awesome hunting companion or a great family dog, or both, you want to make sure your puppy is healthy and will give you years of happiness and not heartbreak. See our FAQ's to answer some of your questions on what to look for in a puppy, whether you get one from us or somebody else.
If you don't hunt and are just looking for a family pet, quality is still important. Our puppies are raised with our family and we spend a lot of time with them. They are exposed to many types of activities and people. Unlike many litters, even well-known breeders, our puppies do not spend all day in a kennel. They start in our attached garage where we spend lots of time hanging out with them and bring them in the house and hold them. As they get older, they spend a lot of time in our yard exploring. We live on a lake and they spend time at the beach with us so are swimming and playing in the water at a young age. They are around kids of all ages, other dogs, etc. Not too many litters of puppies get the kind of socialization and experiences ours get. We have only one litter at a time, once every few years or even less, so we love every moment of having them!
Both parents are OFA certified for hips and elbows and other DNA health clearances. At 6 weeks, all pups have a vet check, first shots, dewormed, etc. We stand behind selling healthy puppies and a written health guarantee is included with each puppy. Please see our FAQ's about what to look for in a litter and questions to ask.
We will only sell puppies to families where they will live in the house and will be part of the family. We prefer and give priority to hunting families. They are happiest being house dogs and want to be with their peeps. So make sure you have the time to invest in training and caring for a puppy as it is not fair to them or you if you don't.
